Apple’s eagerly anticipated hardware event is just around the corner, with a September 9 date set for the reveal of the iPhone 17 lineup, along with new updates for the Apple Watch and AirPods. The event is expected to bring significant changes across Apple’s hardware offerings, with rumors swirling about new features, improved designs, and price adjustments.

iPhone 17: New Design and Features

The iPhone 17 is expected to be the thinnest iPhone yet, aligning more closely with the Pro models in design. Leaks suggest a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a notable upgrade from previous models. The front camera may be bumped up to 24 megapixels, and the device is likely to come in new colors, including purple and green.

The iPhone 17 Pro is set to feature a redesign on the rear camera setup, which may include a rectangular bar with a centered Apple logo and improved camera sensors. Some reports suggest that the Pro model may even switch from a titanium band to aluminum, potentially making it lighter and more affordable.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is rumored to see fewer upgrades, with the most notable change being a slightly thicker body to accommodate a larger battery. The pricing for the iPhone 17 starts at $800, with the Pro Max priced around $1,250.

Introducing the iPhone Air

Perhaps the most exciting addition to the lineup is the rumored iPhone Air. Set to replace the iPhone Plus, the iPhone Air is expected to be Apple’s slimmest phone to date, measuring just 5.5 mm in thickness. This new device may also feature a 6.6-inch display and a single rear camera lens. The iPhone Air is predicted to be priced at $950 and come in black, silver, and light gold.

This ultra-thin design will compete directly with Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge and could pave the way for Apple’s much-anticipated foldable phone in 2026.

Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3

Apple’s wearable devices are also set to see some significant upgrades. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to offer new features, including 5G support, satellite connectivity, and a larger display. It may also add blood pressure monitoring and sleep apnea detection capabilities, though these features may be delayed.

The Apple Watch Series 11 is also rumored to receive faster charging speeds and improved health tracking features. The SE 3 model, while not receiving many updates, could include a larger display. Pricing for the new watches is expected to range from $250 for the SE 3 to $800 for the Ultra 3.

AirPods Pro 3: Sleeker Design and Enhanced Audio

After the release of the AirPods Pro 2, the AirPods Pro 3 are expected to debut with a sleeker design and smaller earbuds. The updated models may feature a new H3 chip to enhance active noise cancellation and adaptive audio.

Conclusion: What to Expect from Apple’s 2025 Hardware Event

With the iPhone 17 lineup, iPhone Air, Apple Watch upgrades, and AirPods Pro 3 all likely to be unveiled, Apple’s upcoming hardware event promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years. Whether you’re looking for a new iPhone, an upgraded Apple Watch, or enhanced audio with AirPods, Apple’s latest offerings are set to impress.
